Bobby Martin (Lawrenceburg, h. 1930 - h. 2015)

Músicos: Bobby Martin (voz y guitarra) y The Tune Twisters.

Are you sure this Bobby Martin is the same one on the Tide label?

No 100% sure Gary, but a friend of mine from Kentucky told me that. I´m trying to talk Bobby about that. I´ll post it soon the definitive answer (I hope it).
Thanks!!

Hi again Gary! I can´t speak with Bobby but new information sure me that is the same Bobby Martin. It´s true that without the Tune Twisters the sound is very different. By the case, I´ll keep on trying talk with Bobby.

A few months ago I spoke with the widow of the Bobby Martin here. She said he never recorded in CA. Rena Fullmer, 1 of the principals of Tide, remembered Martin's session when I mentioned it to her in my Tide research in the late 80s, so it WAS cut here in SoCal, meaning it apparently was NOT this guy. I wish I had asked if she remembered more, but she's gone now. No doubt this Bobby Martin is, too. There are a few more Tide mysteries that will probably never be solved.

Thanks a lot Gary. I change a little bit the post about that, but you´re right: Some Tide misteries will never be solved. Could you tell me when and where Bobby Martin died? Thanks again.
